Colosseum Clash is the RomanPunks gladiatorial battle simulation broadcast live on Twitch.

Viewers and participants can win WAX NFT prizes for participating.

How to Play Colosseum Clash

Players must own a RomanPunk ‘fighter’ NFT on WAX to play on Twitch, but if they own the character with the same ID# on Ethereum then they will also win prizes.

There are 3 ‘types’ of fighters: soldiers, gladiators and centurions.

The game consists of 3 parts with 3 fighters in each, and a fourth fight with the winners from the first three. First 3 soldiers against each other, then 3 gladiators, and lastly 3 centurions.

Fight 1 — Barracks Brawl — 3 soldiers

Fight 2 — Arena Duel — 3 gladiators

Fight 3 — Century Battle — 3 centurions

Fight 4 — Royal Rumble — winners of fights 1, 2, & 3

The stream leaders Punktavian and/or Cleopunktra will spin the wheel to select the first 3 fighters. They will be posted in Twitch chat:

  1. 542 Brenna Bolorix
  2. 536 Gan Ying
  3. 175 Bellatrix Cinna

The numbers refers to “CardID on WAX” and ‘Mint number’ on OpenSea. Several people can own different mints of the same CardID on WAX, but only one person can own the corresponding ETH asset.

ETH owners are automatically entered and will get their rewards at the end of the season.

WAX players have to check their WAX wallets and see if they have any of the selections, and if they do, copy the asset URL and post one of them in chat within a 90 second window:

Once everybody has selected their fighter, it’s dice rolling time! Each fighter has three stats, but for the current tournament, only the attack stat is important.

  1. Brenna Bolorix = 8
  2. Gan Ying = 8
  3. Bellatrix Cinna = 7

For every point of attack, the fighter gets one d6.

  1. Brenna rolls 8d6 = 1+3+2+6+4+1+2+1 = 34
  2. Gan rolls 8d6 = 3+6+1+2+5+4+3+1 = 30
  3. Bellatix rolls 7d6 = 3+1+2+5+2+4+3 = 22

Brenna wins — everybody who picked Brenna is entered in the raffle for the soldier prize.

Each round is repeated for gladiators and centurions, and lastly there’s a fight between the winners of these three bouts: the Royal Rumble

Stats are logged on the Official Colosseum Clash Roster spreadsheet.

Winners of each of the 4 fights wins a WAX NFT or pack, which varies day by day.

Seasonal stats are tracked:

  • the number of times each character wins (where the owner of that ETH NFT will receive prizes at end of the tournament)
  • the number of times each Twitch chat/WAX card player wins.

At the end of each gladiatorial season, the top 10 winners will receive epic prizes, to be announced.

The FIRST PLACE winner in each of the 2 categories will win a VERY SPECIAL RomanPunk Ethereum NFT.

About RomanPunks

“It’s AD 410, the Goths are sacking the city of Rome. A rift in the fabric of space-time occurs at the Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus. Suddenly multiple dimensions collide and coalesce. Time travelers and spacefarers exist alongside terrestrials who had previously lived thousands of years apart. The world is now a fractured patchwork of time and space with Rome at the center of it all. The world is now RomanPunk.”

RomanPunks is an independent, crypto-based fine art world-building movement inspired by history and the cyberpunk aesthetic. We find inspiration from 20th-century culture and science fiction authors including Wiliam Gibson, Philip K. Dick, and Harry Turtledove while being guided by professional work and academic studies in ancient history, art history, illustration, and blockchain technology.

RomanPunks has NFT collections on both the Ethereum and WAX blockchains in addition to a nascent Discord-based community of well over 600 active users who engage in play-to-earn gameplay utility.
