Twitch Colosseum Clash Season IV: The New Batch

Our “Colosseum Clash” contests continue as part of an expanded RomanPunks Twitch streaming schedule for Spring & Summer 2023
Since summer 2021, we have seen some epic battles waged and epic prizes won through Season I, Season II and Season III of Colosseum Clash.
Now, for Season IV we’ll not only be changing the battle format and adding hundreds of new fighters, but the battles will be embedded throughout our newly orchestrated Twitch streams rather than be the core focus of the streams.
Season IV Stream Themes
Each stream be filled with various activities such as showcasing project builds on stream, doing ‘lets plays’ of Romanesque and cyberpunk themed games, and engaging with the community by investigating other web3 projects and inviting creators on stream for interviews and discussions about anything related to cyberpunk, (alternate) history, art and technology.
BUILD Streams : ‘Bricks and Marble’
The ‘build’ themed streams will focus on showcasing behind-the-scenes development of the project. Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing our Game Maker Fund application for The Sandbox
- Building on The Sandbox Game Maker and VOXEDIT apps
- Testing and refining our RomanPunks table top card game
- Writing character stories, minting and dropping new NFTs
PLAY Streams : ‘Let’s Play with Punktavian’
The ‘play’ themed streams will be a chance for Punktavian to relax and play through some modern and vintage non-web3 related games that are Roman themed or cyberpunk themed in nature. Recommendations from the community are also encouraged. Games to stream include but are not limited to:
- We Who Are About to Die
- Expeditions: Rome
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Caesar III, and more…
COMMUNITY Streams : ‘Web3 Forum’
The ‘community’ themed streams will focus on the web3 community, whether that be the WAX community (#waxfam), the Sandbox community (#sandfam), or the wider NFT community of OGs in the space who are still grinding. Activities include but are not limited to:
- Testing web3 games on WAX, Polygon, ETH, etc.
- Playing through The Sandbox Alpha seasons
- Interviewing other project creators, artists, authors and web3 aficionados
- Holding virtual Toga Raves
Season IV Stream Format
Each stream will be centered on the theme of the day as listed above, and will have colosseum clash and other activities included to encourage participation in the chat. Streams will be typically 2–4 hours in length, but ‘let’s play’ streams may last much longer.
- Theme of the day — shared in advance on Twitter & Discord.
- Colosseum Clash battles — every 30 minutes on stream
- Stream Raiders/Pirates — every 30 minutes on stream
- Other Stream Activities (as requested)
Participating in the stream activities will give viewers a chance to win digital collectibles from RomanPunks and other projects. Additionally, ‘stream points’ can be redeemed for things too, as a way to reward channel subscribers. More details TBA.
Season IV Stream Schedule
We plan to stream 2–3 days per week, Jupiter willing.
Owing to the chaotic nature of life, schedule (days/times) of each stream will be announced in advance on Discord and Twitter.
Nevertheless, we’ll endeavour to offer streams at different times: morning, afternoon and evening, weekdays, weekends. If there’s a time you prefer, let your voice be heard!

Colosseum Clash Season IV Battle Format
At set time intervals during the stream, we will hold Colosseum Clash battles that give NFT holders and chat participants a chance to get involved in the stream and earn rewards for doing so.
Battle Selection
The battle bracket is set on Challonge —and the fight lists are randomly generated and decided in advance. For Season IV, participating fighters will be only those populating the RomanPunk Fighter Pack Series II.
Battle Mechanics
All battles are 1v1. Each fighter (soldier, gladiator or centurion) has an ATTACK (ATK), DEFENSE (DEF), and SPEED (SPD) value as indicated in the attributes on the WAX NFT.
Each value corresponds to the number of 6 sided dice that character gets to role. For example, a gladiator with an attack of 10 will get 10d6 to use to roll for their attack.
- Each round starts out with a speed roll. The character with the highest SPD attacks first. In the case of a tie, they roll a 1d100 tie breaker dice.
- Attacking character rolls with the number of dice indicated by their ATK rating.
- Defending character rolls with the number of dice indicated by their DEF rating.
- If the attack is higher than the defense, the battle is over and the attacking character wins.
- If there is a tie, or the defense roll is higher, then the defending character gets to roll an attack with the number of dice indicated by their ATK rating.
- Play continues until an attack is successful. There are no hit points — a successful attack is always fatal.
Battle Participation
Battles will be waged, regardless of whether there is anyone viewing the stream or participating in the chat. Nevertheless, participation brings rewards….
Chat participants complete a Google Form with their chosen fighters for the match.
When stream time comes, participants will have to make themselves known in the chat by entering a !play command.
If you win, you get that notch on the leaderboard for end of season prizes. And if you have the winning WAX NFT in your wallet, you get an airdrop.
HODLers of the Ethereum NFTs for winning fighting characters will passively receive airdrop rewards to their wallets at the end of the season.

Battle Rewards
There will be minor rewards (e.g. NFTs from RomanPunks and other collections) during streams, but also epic end-of-season rewards for the Eth NFT owners and winningest chat participants. Specific rewards are TBA.
Daily rewards such as blending coins and packs will also be sent through Bountyblok.io to the HODLers of the winning characters.
